Scholarships
The Clintondale Educational Foundation was founded, in 1988, by men and women in the community who wanted to enhance the Clintondale education program in ways not generally covered by the districts budget. Scholarships is one way that the Foundation continues to support the students’ path to post-secondary education.
Bill Fortune Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is meant to honor the memory of Bill Fortune, a beloved art teacher and athletic director at Clintondale High School, who was 28-years-old when he died. Mr. Fortune had a passion for teaching and he loved his students and the Clintondale community. Eligible must be seniors at Clintondale High School.
CEF Athletic Scholarship
This scholarship is meant to celebrate a talented student-athlete at the high school, and was created in the memory of Donald J. Seiferlein, who was a legendary Dragons’ coach. Recipients may use this scholarship for any post-secondary education. Criteria includes athletic achievement, leadership, and professionalism.
Joan Didio Scholarship for Women
This scholarship is intended to celebrate a female student at Clintondale who has a heart for community service, leadership, and a passion for education. This award recognizes Mrs. Didio, who served our community as a Board of Education member and a leader for women’s rights.
Michael Pesendorfer Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a senior who has a passion for learning and demonstrates financial need. This scholarship is presented by Mr. Pesendorfer, a 1978 alumnus, who continues to be involved in the Clintondale community through his philanthropic endeavors. The owner of M3 Investment Services, Mr. Pesendorfer was Student Council President and earned varsity letters in football and baseball. He was inducted into the Clintondale Wall of Honor in 2020.
CEF Scholarship for the Arts
Created in the memory of Dominic Severini, this scholarship is awarded to a deserving student who wishes to pursue art in their post-secondary educational journey. Mr. Severini was a Clintondale Educational Foundation board member, who was also a well-known concert pianist. A gentleman with a soft heart, Mr. Severini loved Clintondale and strongly supported the arts through Macomb Community College.
CEF Scholarship
This scholarship is award to a student who demonstrates an enthusiasm for learning, personal integrity, and financial need. Criteria for this scholarship is financial need, professional, and a commitment to post-secondary education.
Bob & Cheryl Cannon Principal's Choice Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a senior who has a passion for their community, and needs and demonstrates an enthusiasm for learning. Mr. Cannon has served as Clinton Township Supervisor since 2000 and Mrs. Cannon is a proud Clintondale graduate, who also is a member of the Clintondale Educational Foundation’s Wall of Honor.
