Dragon Outreach

Boxes of cereal and pasta fill the shelves inside the Dragon Pantry in the Clintondale Middle School.

 

The Clintondale Community Schools District is proud of its Dragon Community Outreach program. We support students and their families in many ways including, the Dragon Food Pantry and support services through the McKinney-Vento Act. 

 

Dragon Pantry

The Dragon Outreach Food Pantry is here to serve the Clintondale Community which includes students and their families. Donations for the Dragon Pantry are always welcome, especially cleaning supplies such as laundry detergent, all-purpose cleaner, paper towels/napkins, tissue, toilet paper, hand soap and dish soap and toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner, tooth paste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body wash/soap, diapers/baby wipes, razors, shaving cream, feminine products and lotion). 2025-2026 Food Distribution Dates

The Dragon Outreach food distribution is open the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 p.m.*  The food pantry distribution is located outside of Clintondale Middle School (35300 Little Mack Avenue, Clinton Township, MI 48035) and is operated in partnership with Macomb Community Action.  Clintondale Community Schools is an equal opportunity provider.

McKinney-Vento Act

IS YOUR FAMILY TEMPORARILY STAYING IN:
● someone else’s house or apartment due to loss of housing,
economic hardship, or a similar reason?
● a hotel or motel?
● a shelter?
● a car, park, campground, abandoned building, or other inadequate space?

If your family is staying in these living situations, your children have the right to receive extra services and supports in school under the
McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. These include:
● Staying in the same school, even if you move, and receiving free transportation to and from that school if it is in your best educational interest to stay
● Immediate enrollment, even if you don’t have the documents that are typically required for enrollment
● Receiving free school meals
● Connecting younger children to early childhood services
● College readiness assistance for high school students
● Referrals to the community for help with other needs
