Mask Mandate Survey

On October 12, 2021, the Clintondale Community School District’s Board of Education voted unanimously to temporarily require masks be worn by all PreK-12 students, teachers, staff, and visitors at all district buildings through January 31, 2022.

This ruling also applies to spectators at all indoor athletics and extracurricular events during and after school hours. It does not apply to student-athletes or game officials. The district’s initial back-to-school safety plan did not include a mask mandate, but the Board voted 7-0 to require masks due to rising COVID-19 case numbers in the district. The Board’s decision comes after the district recently surveyed parents and guardians to gauge their comfort level on mask wearing in times of high community spread in order to keep students in the classroom.

Below is a new survey that asks parents/guardians about their comfort levels of extending the temporary mask mandate beyond Jan. 31, 2022. Please take the time to complete the survey by noon on Jan. 10, 2022.
