OK2Say: Speak Up for Safety

Welcome to our Student Help and Tips page for the OK2Say program! Your voice matters, and OK2Say empowers you to speak up, support others, and create a safer school environment. Whether you’ve seen something concerning or need a friend to lean on, we’re here to provide guidance and resources.

What Is OK2Say?

OK2Say is a confidential reporting system that helps keep schools safe. If you notice bullying, violence, self-harm, or any situation that makes you or others feel unsafe, you can report it without fear. Every report is taken seriously and handled carefully to protect your privacy and well-being.

Remember: If it makes you think twice, report it.

When Should You Use OK2Say?

You should speak up if you see or hear about:

  •     Bullying or cyberbullying
  •     Threats of violence
  •     Substance abuse
  •     Depression, anxiety, or signs of self-harm
  •     Suspicious behavior in or around school
  •     Any action that feels dangerous or worrisome

How to Make a Report

Reporting to OK2Say is quick and easy. Here’s how you can submit your concerns:

    Use the Mobile App: Download the OK2Say app for easy access.

Reports are taken 24/7, and you’ll remain anonymous.


Tips for Making a Report

    Stay Calm: Gather your thoughts and explain what you’ve seen or heard clearly.
    Be Specific: Include details like names, locations, times, and any evidence (like screenshots or messages) you have.
    Stay Safe: Your safety is important. Don’t put yourself in danger while reporting.
    Check In: If you’re worried about a friend, follow up to make sure they’re okay.

Being a supportive and attentive friend is powerful. Here are a few ways you can help:

    Listen Without Judgement: Sometimes, just being there can make a huge difference.
    Include Others: Invite classmates to sit with you at lunch or join your group activities.
